  1. Google Itself

Google is a great search engine to use when you are looking for something on the internet. Google also has a subject directory seperate from the search engine. This search engine uses spiders that search the web for different pages to add to their database. Then when you search for a topic it goes through it's different pages in it's database and brings all of the pages up that match your query. People can also submit their website into Google's database, but if you submit it doesn't necessarily mean that your page will appear on a search for that topic. Google doesn't include all pages submitted. Google can also be helpful if you are looking for the latest stock quotes, or an address or phone nummber. Google is one one of the most helpful search engines out there but there are somethings that you should know when using this tool.

  4. Surfer Beware!

There are not too many negative features about google but there are a few. One of them is that google doesn't do stemming. For example, if you were searching for a site on soccer teams and you typed in, "Socer Teems," nothing about soccer teams would come up. Also, Google can sometimes be hard to navigate through, this problem though is usually only for beginners. Once you get the hang of it, Google isn't really so hard to navigate through.
